After last night's White House correspondents' dinner saw President Joe Biden taking aim at Donald Trump's maturity and alleged sex scandals, the 77-year-old Republican spent his entire night on Truth Social yelling about 'crooked Joe.'
At last night's dinner, 81-year-old Biden, whose age is often a topic of discussion, mocked his seniority while lashing out at former President Donald Trump. Biden joked: "Yes, age is an issue. I'm a grown man, I'm running against a six-year-old.
He continued taking Jabs at Trump, joking about the former president's ongoing hush money criminal trial, which centres around a $130,000 payment Trump made to pornstar Stormy Daniels to allegedly silence her claims about a sexual encounter with him before the 2016 election. Biden added: "I've had a great stretch since the State of the Union. Donald has had a tough few days lately — you might call it stormy weather."
In response, Donald wrote: "The White House Correspondents’ Dinner was really bad. Colin Jost BOMBED, and Crooked Joe was an absolute disaster! Doesn’t get much worse than this!"

It's not the most fury Trump has ever directed at Biden - usually, those Truth Social rants go on for a while with no character limits. They alternate between caps and not caps and take aim at anyone who made a comment at him, but Trump's ire last night was focused on Biden and SNL star Colin Jost.
Though scrolling down Trump's timeline on Truth Social, you'll have a hard time finding the above 'truth' as the ageing Republican frontrunner reposted dozens of posts last night instead. Some posts are memes; others are other Republicans talking about 'communists' and 'rigged trials.'

Now that Trump's hands are tied by a court gag order, he's severely limited on the things he can post. However, on Thursday, Trump's lawyers argued that re-posting should be fine as it wasn't Trump who wrote it. The prosecution argued that they did count before Judge Juan Merchan decided to postpone the gag order decision.
Biden opened his roast with a direct but joking focus on Trump, calling him “sleepy Don,” in reference to a nickname Trump had given the president previously.
Despite being similar in age, Biden said, the two presidential hopefuls have little else in common. “My vice president actually endorses me,” Biden said. Former Trump Vice President Mike Pence has refused to endorse Trump’s reelection bid.
Trump did not attend Saturday’s dinner and never attended the annual banquet as president. In 2011, he sat in the audience, and glowered through a roasting by then-President Barack Obama of Trump’s reality-television celebrity status. Obama’s sarcasm then was so scalding that many political watchers linked it to Trump’s subsequent decision to run for president in 2016.
