Command Security Corporation Announces Award of DHS Transportation Security Administration Airport Security Screening Services Contract

HERNDON, Va., June 06, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Command Security Corporation/Aviation Safeguards (NYSE:MOC) has been informed of its successful teaming participation with the award of the DHS Transportation Security Administration 10-Year Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Airport Security Screening Services Contract. The 10-Year contract has a ceiling of $3.3 Billion and will provide the company with the opportunity to participate in Nationwide Airport Security Screening Task Order Awards.

Under this award, the Company and its teammates, VMD Systems and AECOM (NYSE:ACM), will be eligible to be awarded passenger and baggage screening contracts at any of the over 435 airports that are chosen or elect to utilize private screening companies.  Over 80 team bids were submitted and 15 teams were selected to perform under this solicitation.  Command Security’s Aviation Safeguards division has performed passenger and baggage screening services for more than 30 years.
