Los Angeles – A California man had a double collision with U.S. Commerce Secretary John Bryson. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Rich Sanchez claims Bryson was driving a car that struck his vehicle twice during a car accident in June, and the commerce secretary subsequently fled after reportedly planning to exchange insurance information with him.

Sanchez is quoted by the AP as stating of the collision, “He actually veered into our lane…I had to speed up to get out of his way.”

As noted in the report, both parties were waiting for a train to pass when the accident occurred. Bryson had purportedly suffered a seizure, which led to prosecutors declining to file charges against him in connection with the incident. He did, however, receive a hit-and-run citation by police.
