Triumph Receives $77M Contract Extension to Update Army Aircraft Electronic Control Units - top government contractors - best government contracting event

Triumph Group‘s integrated systems business will supply digital electronic control units for two U.S. Army helicopter types under a potential $77M contract extension from the Defense Logistics Agency.

The company said Thursday its engine and control business will manufacture 3.1K updated DECUs at a facility in West Hartford, Conn., for installation on the military service’s AH-64 Apache and UH-60 Black Hawk fleets.

The Army originally awarded Triumph a contract in 2013 after the company developed a common controller technology as part of the Universal Control Technology Program. The system is designed to help users manage application software packages, monitor engine health and address electronics obsolescence challenges.

Triumph noted it has delivered more than 6K DECUs for the U.S. military’s Black Hawk, Apache, Seahawk and Jayhawk aircraft platforms.
