The Montana Department of Transportation recently excluded a Utah company who was doing work in Red Lodge from doing business in Montana for the next three years.

Goran Construction, LLC was awarded a $6.78 million contract in 2014 to complete road projects in Red Lodge. The projects included improvements to Eighth Street to Robinson as well as work on Brewery Hill.

According to a release from the transportation department, Todd Cusick, and the company, Goran, failed to make prompt payments to subcontractors and suppliers hired by Goran on the Red Lodge Tied Projects.

Goran, LLC has historically worked in Utah.

State transportation officials said Cusick is prohibited from bidding or participating in work, contracts or projects in any capacity with the state of Montana for three years.

In March of 2017, the Montana Department of Transportation initiated debarment of Goran, LLC and Cusick through Montana law.
