Former Obama officials Power and McFaul duped by parody North Korea account in thirst for Trump burn

Professor of Practice at Harvard and former U.S. Ambassador to UN during the Obama administration, Samantha Power, a frequent cable news guest on foreign affairs over the years, was in such a hurry to dunk on Donald Trump late Saturday night that she fell for an obvious and very well-known parody account that satirizes the North Korean regime.

National security advisor to Senator Ted Cruz caught the moment when the AP's Matt Lee corrected Power, and tweeted the screenshot.

The tweet from the parody account was regarding Trump's decision not to attend a memorial ceremony on Saturday due to the weather.

Samantha Power was not the only one to gush over what she or they believed to be the murderious dictatorship scoring a burn on Trump. Matt Lee pointed out several, all of whom have since deleted their tweets, including Newsweek's Jeff Stein and former United States Ambassador to Russia for the Obama administration, Michael McFaul.

Not to mention quite a few other regular Twitter users. Here's a par example:

If you're being driven to cheer and laud the North Korean dictatorship for a wicked twitter burn on Trump, you're too thirsty. In fact, heaping praise on Kim Jong Un or North Korea because of Donald Trump is bad no matter whether it's on Twitter or not.

Or who it is that is doing it.
