US Military Buys Additional DragonFly 3D Printers From Nano Dimension - top government contractors - best government contracting eventThe U.S. military has purchased two more DragonFly Pro 3D printers from Israel-based additive electronics firm Nano Dimension.

The multi-material additive manufacturing platform enables users to facilitate in-house prototyping or manufacturing of functional electronic units such as sensors, antennas, molded interconnect devices, circuit boards and other circuitry within a short time span, Nano Dimension said Tuesday.

DragonFly Pro can also simultaneously print conductive metal and dielectric polymer materials for customized and low-volume components without requiring an outside vendor.

Nano Dimension U.S. President Simon Fried said the company’s U.S. sales and marketing team collaborated with value-added resellers to extend the company’s reach to the nation’s defense industry.

Nano Dimension has currently sold four DragonFly Pro units to the U.S. armed forces after the Defense Department’s Defense Logistics Agency assigned a Commercial and Government Entity Code to the company in June.
