Judge served as Lieutenant Governor when Fred Hubbell led the Iowa Department of Economic Development and Chaired the Iowa Power Fund

DES MOINES, IA – Today, former Lieutenant Governor and Secretary of Agriculture Patty Judge announced her endorsement for Fred Hubbell for Governor, citing his experience leading Iowa’s Department of Economic Development and the Iowa Power Fund during her tenure as Lieutenant Governor, and his ability to invest in the revitalization of rural Iowa.

Former Lieutenant Governor Patty Judge provided the following statement:

“As Lt. Governor, I worked with Fred as he helped lead the fight against wasteful corporate tax giveaways, and helped clean up the film tax credit scandal, at the Department of Economic Development.

“We need Fred in the Governor’s office to get things back on track, just like he did at Economic Development. Fred will work for all Iowans - not corporations and special interests - and invest in our priorities: better education, quality healthcare for all, and vibrant communities - both urban and rural.”

Fred Hubbell provided the following statement:

“Patty Judge represents the best that Iowa has to offer; she is an honest, hard-working public servant, and I am thrilled to have her support. I look forward to working with her to get Iowa growing!”
