Ivanka Trump's appointment as Presidential adviser "breaks nepotism laws", claims Obama lawyer
The problems keep piling up for the Trumps.
Hit by the President’s low ratings, key personnel quitting and a brewing scandal over possible links to Russia, now there are question marks over Ivanka Trump’s appointment as an adviser to her father.
A former White House lawyer of Barack Obama claims the appointment of Ivanka as an unpaid advisor is a violation of nepotism laws.

These laws rule out public officials hiring or promoting a relative.
But Norman Eisen, formerly the chief ethics counsel for President Obama told CNN that said that Mr Trump does not believe the rules apply to him.
“For decades the Justice Department held ‘yes’ the nepotism statue applies to the White House.”
“President Trump got an opinion from the Justice Department that the nepotism statute doesn’t apply to his White House. We don’t agree with that opinion,” he said.
Ivanka also has an office in the White House.
The 35-year-old is married to Jared Kushner, who is a senior adviser to the president.
She is the daughter of Donald Trump and his first wife, Ivana.
It could yet be another issue for the embattled President to deal with.
In recent weeks, his national security adviser General Michael Flynn resigned after it was suggested he tried cover up talks with Russian officials, Trump’s approval rating is down to 42 per cent, according to a NBC poll, and he failed to meet a pre-election pledge to overturn Obamacare.
