The late Pasta King will officially have a post office named after him. Last week, President Biden signed a bill to rename the Cotati Post Office after Art Ibleto. Congressman Mike Thompson, who sponsored the bill, said in a statement “This will honor Art’s tremendous life and cement his legacy and contributions to our community.” A date for the renaming ceremony has not yet been set. Ibleto, who died at the age of 94 in 2020, immigrated from Italy and brought the community different types of pasta with the help of his wife, Vicki, who has also passed on. Together, they built a small business empire which included Art’s Place in Rohnert Park and the Spaghetti Palace at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds. He also used his food to help raise money for countless charitable, educational and civic groups.
