It is thought Yale University is where the couple may have metbefore both going on to secure jobs at HuffPost together  — Christina as the Assistant Women's Editor, and Paul as a architecture and design writer.

Christina then went on to become an executive producer of the publication's Talk To Me series, and in 2017, she moved to NowThis where she currently works as a supervising producer.

Meanwhile Paul began working as an associate producer at CBS News in 2012, where he had the chance to work alongside Gayle King and the rest of the This Morning team.

He even joined Arianna, Gayle, and her best friend Oprah Winfrey on a trip to Hawaii in 2015, with CBS star Gayle happily posting a picture of the foursome on her Instagram.

That same year, Paul made a move away from producing and earned an MBA from Stanford School of Business in 2017, and he also became an investor in Los Angeles-based media company WndrCo.

According to its website, the company, which was co-founded by former Walt Disney Studios Chairman Jeffrey Katzenberg, 'invests in, acquires, develops and operates consumer technology businesses for the long term'.

Christina's exciting announcement about her engagement to Paul comes just a few years after she candidly opened up to Glamour about her seven-year addiction to cocaine.

'From the outside, it probably looked like my childhood was perfect,' Christina wrote in her personal essay, which was published in 2013.

'...So why did I self-destruct? Why did I spend seven years lying to my family about using cocaine?'

She admitted the divorce between her media mogul mother and her former congressman father, Michael Huffington, at the age of eight years old disrupted her world — leaving both her and her younger sister, Isabella, devastated.

The divorce plus other factors led Christina to first start using cocaine at the age of 16. She was finally able to get sober at 24 years old with the help of family and friends.

Christina now often appears at her mother's side for media events along with Isabella.

She and her fiance have yet to announce any details to their upcoming nuptials after revealing the engagement news on Monday.
