‘My respect to the concrete cows… They run a lot’: Pochettino re-uses old analogy as Tottenham boss reveals his love for ‘fantastic city’ Milton Keynes

Mauricio Pochettino revealed his love of Milton Keynes ahead of Tottenham's Carabao Cup clash against Watford at Stadium:MK.

The Spurs boss also revived his cryptic cows analogy in reference to the city's iconic concrete cow sculptures.

The cup game was moved to Milton Keynes due to delays in finishing Tottenham's new ground.


Before Tottenham's Champions League defeat against Milan, Pochettino had used a riddle featuring cows and trains to explain how important experience would be for his side.

And he was at it again, claiming Milton Keynes' famous cows 'run a lot'.

Pochettino said: 'I’m sure we are going to be welcome.

Pochettino and his wife Karina attended FIFA's The Best Awards at London's Royal Festival Hall, with former Spurs midfielder Luka Modric picking up the men's best player award.

Pochettino now turns his attention back to on-field matters, as his side look to negotiate a tricky tie against Watford, to be held at a ground almost an hour outside of London.

 But the Argentine is happy to travel to a town he admits hehas a lot of love for.

He said: 'I have a few friends that live there. It is only 45 mins away. A great town. Beautiful. I enjoy a lot.'
