Troy High School Senior Quinn Favret was chosen as a delegate for the 2018 U.S. Senate Youth Program. Favret was selected as one of only two students across the state to represent Michigan during an all-expense paid trip to Washington D.C. March 3 – 10, 2018. He will also receive a $10,000 scholarship. During this week, Favret will join two high school juniors or seniors from each of the 50 states. Student delegates will hear major policy addresses by senators, cabinet members, officials from the Departments of State and Defense and directors of other federal agencies, as well as participate in meetings with the president and a justice of the U.S. Supreme Court.
