Des Moines, IA – Next month, the Iowa Democratic Party Disability Caucus will hold its first Accessibility, Inclusion, and Outreach Conference in Cedar Rapids.   Spearheaded by Disability Caucus under the leadership of Chair Catherine Crist, the conference will teach activists how to communicate effectively with legislators, self-advocate, and participate in the structure of the Democratic Party. Campaigns and organizers will be briefed on how to effectively include people with disabilities and ensure access to campaign activities.  
The conference will also feature Senator Tom Harkin, a keynote speaker, and a Democratic gubernatorial candidate forum.
