Phitek Showcases Premium Performance Bluetooth Noise Cancellation Design![]() 13 May 2008 - Global leader in advanced noise cancellation technologies Phitek Systems Ltd announced that it has launched its Active Noise Rejection (ANR(TM)) enabled Bluetooth stereo headset design at the CSR Wireless Audio Training Seminar in Taipei today followed by Shenzhen on May 15.
The new design leverages Phitek's new PHA-1 integrated ANR(TM) electronic and PHC-3 acoustic components, Phitek audio enhancement software products and the CSR BlueCore5-Multimedia to deliver premium audio and standard setting noise cancellation in a high performance Bluetooth stereo earphone. These Phitek ANR(TM) electronic and acoustic components are the latest in portable audio innovations. They complement the virtual surround sound and psychoacoustic bass enhancement software products announced when Phitek joined the CSR eXtension Partner Program in early 2007. Mark Donaldson, CEO of Phitek Systems says Phitek components are currently being used by the Company's key global customers to take leading positions in the emerging market for mobile premium audio. "Our Bluetooth ANR(TM) example design will enable OEMs and ODMs to deliver world class noise cancelling audio products much faster than ever before allowing greater efficiency and cost savings," says Donaldson. David Somppi, Phitek Product Manager (ANR(TM) Components) says Phitek has taken its IP and ANR(TM) know how and packaged it into the smallest possible form factor. "A designer now simply plugs the components together and obtains instant stereo ANR(TM) functionality - that's an unbeatable advantage in today's premium mobile audio market," says Somppi. Somppi adds that Phitek Systems ANR(TM) components are currently sampling and will be in mass production in mid 2008. Gemma Paris of CSR's Wireless Audio Strategic Business Unit comments, that CSR is committed to providing its customers with the very latest and most advanced technologies on the market which made Phitek an obvious choice. "Headset manufacturers are assured that when using CSR and Phitek ANR(TM) technology that their devices will achieve the highest levels of usability and sound quality, even in noisy environments," says Paris. Somppi also says that Phitek's feedback-based ANR(TM) offers exciting benefits which can be leveraged by mobile phone and Bluetooth headset OEMs. "Phitek's proprietary electro-acoustic design is optimized to deliver rich bass and extremely low Total Harmonic Distortion. ANR(TM) works all the way down to 20Hz to remove background noise that would otherwise degrade the listening experience. Outstanding audio reproduction and standard setting noise cancellation are now easily implemented in earphone designs". The Phitek Bluetooth ANR(TM) design will be fully documented and made available as an Example Design with the technical documents available on request from Phitek (email: info@phitek.com).
