(Tuesday 30th April 2008): Duratread announces the opening of a bonded storage facility in Iquique, Chile that will provide a direct and immediate supply of Duratread Mining Tires to Mines, Quarries and Construction sites in Chile, Peru and Bolivia.

Duratread Mining tires, launched in 2006 are produced in E3/E4 and L3/L4/L5 sizes and have grown in popularity with the major mining companies throughout the region due to good durability and performance statistics, coupled with expert local support.

With lead times for Mining Tires reaching many months, stock available in the region will facilitate quicker and easier supply and lessen downtime for mining vehicles. Duratread says that "demand from our regional customers has grown due to the local support that we have demonstrably given. For that reason it was a logical step to provide some stocking facility in the region to look after the increasing demand from our loyal customers to give that additional support."
