WareGeeks Gaming Lounge invades NYC Staten Island with XBOX 360 Tournament

WareGeeks Gaming Lounge invades the NYC borough of Staten Island with its first XBOX 360 console Tournament

WareGeeks Gaming Lounge aims squarely at the 18 to 35 demographics on Staten Island with its inaugural Tournament; Call of Duty 4 and Halo3 on XBOX360.

Staten Island, NY - May 6, 2008 (RPRNewswire08)- WareGeeks Gaming Lounge, a wholly owned division of WareGeeks, Inc, has its inaugural console tournament @ 33 Water St Staten Island. WareGeeks, Inc an IT industry Managed Service Provider.

The tournament will be held Saturday May 17, 2008 from 1pm to 10pm. Call of Duty 4 and Halo3 on XBOX360 will be the tournament games. $500 Grand Prize, cash and prizes, will be awarded to the overall tournament winner. WareGeeks Gaming Lounge picked its home town Staten Island for the tournament because of the Island's major gaming community in the 18-34 demographic.

"During our research planning for where to hold the first tournament, we found that all data pointed to Staten Island being the best starting point for us," says Seth Melendez, President of WareGeeks, Inc. "I thought Manhattan or Jersey would be a better location. Being a native Islander the research was a wonderful surprise." He adds. "Most people would assume that console gaming are a majority under 18 years of age market. Staten Island has more over 18 to 34 year olds playing consoles than any other borough. Women also make up a large percentage of gamers, coming close to the under 18 crowd."

"The response to the tournament has been overwhelming," Seth continues. "Its great to bring something like this to my home town."

Due to the great response WareGeeks Gaming Lounge will offer discounts on ticket starting May 10, 2008. All tickets bought until May 16 will be ½ off.

" We are planning to have XBOX360, PS3, and WII console tournaments every 6 to 8 weeks across the Island. We are also in the last phase on wrapping up a financial package to open up a lounge for gaming sometime within the next year."

WareGeeks Gaming Lounge also has rentals of consoles, LCD TV's, and gaming accessories for parties, events and mini-tournaments. A few local taverns and bar have rented consoles and LCD TVs for Madden Football and Guitar Hero nights. Anyone interested in rentals can call 800 937-4602 or go to our website www.wggaming.com.
