Governor Little’s school improvement task force will hold its first meeting today

Gov. Brad Little’s school improvement task force will hold its first meeting today (Monday) at the Stueckle Sky Center at Boise State University, and the meeting will be both open to the public and available for listening remotely by phone, toll-free.

The panel, dubbed, “Our Kids, Idaho’s Future,” is charged with delivering recommendations for a new five-year plan to improve Idaho’s public schools to Little by November, in time for him to propose legislation or funding in the next legislative session.

The full agenda is posted online at the state Board of Education’s website under “Upcoming Events.”

According to a press release, the first meeting will open with comments from Little, followed by introductions, discussion of objectives, a review of the work of the previous task force, and future meeting plans.
