PLATTE-Burke scored a three-set win over Southeast South Dakota Conference foe Platte-Geddes on Tuesday, 25-18, 25-20 and 25-16.

Burke (7-5): Bobbi Jo Wischmann led the charge with 31 assists and two aces for the Cougars and Taylee Indahl added 13 kills and 11 digs. Lainee Schonebaum came up with 16 digs and four kills and Lahna Matucha had seven digs, five kills and two aces. Burke plays Bon Homme on Thursday in Tyndall.

Platte-Geddes (6-9): Courtney Neuman dished out 14 assists, along with seven digs and two aces in the loss. Sawyer Naasz chipped in 10 digs and six kills and Tori Weins had eight kills, three digs and two blocks. The Black Panthers play Mount Vernon/Plankinton on Sept. 25 in Platte.

Ethan 3, Mitchell Christian 0

ETHAN-Jessica Bartscher recorded her 1,000th career assist on Tuesday as she helped Class B No. 4 Ethan topple Mitchell Christian in three sets, 25-7, 25-5 and 25-15.

ETHAN (13-1): Bartscher had 35 assists on the night for the Rustlers, while Karly Gustafson registered a match-high 11 kills and three blocks and Jada Plastow also added nine kills. Maddie Miiller came up with 25 digs and Mollie Miiller chipped in 13 digs and five aces. Ethan travels to Scotland on Thursday.

Mitchell Christian (2-10): Hannah Morris led the Golden Eagles with 19 digs in defeat. Mitchell Christian hosts Tripp-Delmont/Armour on Thursday.

ACDC 3, TDA 2

TRIPP-Brianna Deurmier had a huge match for Andes Central/Dakota Christian, leading her team to a five-set win over Tripp-Delmont/Armour, 24-26, 25-18, 25-21, 19-25 and 15-6.

Andes Central/Dakota Christian (7-4): Deurmier posted 27 assists, 17 digs, eight kills, four aces and two blocks for the Thunder in the win. Tyra Medicine Horn also had a big night, recording 24 digs, 18 kills, five blocks and two aces. Mackenzie Muckey added 31 digs, 14 kills, two blocks and two aces and Lexie VanderPol had nine kills, seven blocks and two digs. The Thunder play Freeman Academy/Marion on Saturday in Freeman.

Tripp-Delmont/Armour (1-8): Barley Spaans had 30 assists, seven digs and three aces in a losing effort. Meanwhile, Kianna Payer had 21 digs and seven kills, while Matti Reiner added 12 digs and seven kills. Ashlee Gerber also had nine kills, seven digs and two aces. The Nighthawks travel to Mitchell Christian on Thursday.

Dell Rapids St. Mary 3, Howard 2

HOWARD-Dell Rapids St. Mary fell behind 2-1 to host Howard on Tuesday, before rattling off a pair of tight matches to earn the five-set win, 27-29, 25-23, 14-25, 25-21 and 15-13.

Dell Rapids St. Mary (6-5): Cassie Mullaney and Veronica Beck had 16 kills apiece for the Cardinals and Macie Brown added a match-high 23 digs. Ella Heinitz handed out 20 assists, while Maddie Schwebach had 13 kills and three blocks. Dell Rapids St. Mary plays Elkton-Lake Benton in Elkton on Thursday.

Howard (1-9): Aleya Kizer filled up the stat sheet with 11 digs, seven kills and three aces. Kyra Shumaker added 10 digs, five kills and three aces, while Emma Rudebusch had 13 assists. The Tigers play Colman-Egan on Thursday in Colman.

Wagner 3, Bon Homme 0

TYNDALL-Wagner left Tyndall victorious after a three-set win over Bon Homme on Tuesday night. Set scores were 25-7, 25-17 and 25-18

Wagner (12-3): Faith Tyler had eight kills, seven digs and two aces in the win, while Emilea Cimpl added nine assists, six digs and five aces. Lizzie Tyler also pitched in 18 assists and five digs and Abby Brunsing recorded nine kills and six digs. The Red Raiders host Kimball/White Lake on Thursday.

Bon Homme (2-10): Emily Cap finished with a match-high 21 digs and Jenae Alberts helped with 11 digs, three kills and two aces. The Cavaliers play Burke in Tyndall on Thursday.

Bridgewater-Emery 3, Hanson 0

ALEXANDRIA-Bridgewater-Emery squared off with Hanson for the second time in four days and the Huskies were able to come away with the Cornbelt Conference win, 25-17, 25-21 and 25-22

Bridgewater-Emery (9-3): Kerrigan Schultz dished out 14 assists and had six digs, while Sophia Potter also had 13 assists. Joslyn Schrank had a team-high 15 digs, while Haley Schulz added six kills and six blocks. The Huskies travel to Canistota on Thursday.

Hanson (4-7): Jacy Waldera had 16 assists and four digs, while Ellie Tuschen added 11 digs, seven kills and three aces. Morgan Huber also stuffed the stat sheet with eight digs, five kills, two blocks and two aces and Megan Guericke had a match-high 20 digs. The Beavers play Irene-Wakonda in Wakonda on Thursday.

Canistota 3, Colman-Egan 1

COLMAN-After dropping a marathon second set, Canistota rebounded to win the final two to beat Colman-Egan, 25-18, 30-32, 25-14 and 25-10

Canistota (11-3): Hannah Parry had a match-high 37 assists and three aces and Jordan Engbrecht added 20 kills and nine digs for the Hawks. Cassidy Keller came up with 18 digs and four aces, while Harley Cormany added 11 kills and three blocks. Canistota hosts Bridgewater-Emery on Thursday.

Colman-Egan (7-4): Braiden Westley had 15 digs and three aces, while Kennedi Landis had 12 assists in the loss. Elizabeth Moore also added 12 digs and two aces. The Hawks host Howard on Thursday.

Madison 3, Chamberlain 0

CHAMBERLAIN-Visiting Madison denied Chamberlain's bid for a third consecutive win on Tuesday with a three-set win, 25-20, 25-16 and 25-18.

Madison (9-4): Grace Nelson dished out 20 assists and two aces, while Sophia VandenBosch recorded 14 kills and two aces. Morgan Anderson had a match-high 14 digs and Autumn Barger added 11 of her own. The Bulldogs host Tri-Valley on Thursday.

Chamberlain (6-5): Hannah Anderson recorded 12 kills and two aces and Makenzy Mutziger added 11 assists and 12 digs in the loss. Mady Handel also chipped in six kills. The Cubs play in the Sisseton tournament on Saturday.

KWL 3, Corsica-Stickney 1

WHITE LAKE-After two closely contested sets to start the match, Kimball/White Lake pulled away in the final two for the win in Custer Battlefield Highway Conference action, 25-21, 25-27, 25-11 and 25-14.

Kimball/White Lake (7-3): Heather Munsen led the WiLdKats with 32 assists, 19 digs and five aces, while Kennedy Leiferman added 16 kills, 15 digs and four aces in the win. Grace Konechne added 22 digs, seven kills and three blocks and Darby Deffenbaugh had 20 digs, six kills and five aces. Kimball/White Lake travels to Wagner on Thursday.

Corsica-Stickney (4-6): Courtney Menning had a strong all-around outing, posting 11 digs, six kills and five blocks in defeat. Raven Barse also had eight digs, four kills and two blocks and Bridget Burke added 14 digs, two kills and two aces. Cassidy Clark pitched in six assists and three aces. The Jaguars travel to Gregory on Thursday.

MCM 3, Flandreau 0

FLANDREAU-McCook Central/Montrose scored its second win of the season over Flandreau on Tuesday, taking the match in three sets, 25-17, 25-21 and 25-11.

McCook Central/Montrose (12-3): Aleah Ries led the Fighting Cougars with 14 digs and nine kills, while McKenna Kranz added 12 digs and seven kills. Emily Bies handed out 27 assists and two aces in the win. McCook Central/Montrose plays Parkston on Thursday in Salem.

Flandreau (11-9): Anna Gassman came up with 10 digs, while Melina Matthys had nine assists. The Fliers travel to Class A No. 4 Dell Rapids on Thursday.
