The guest commentary titled “CU Football underwrites racist radio agenda” is highly illustrative of the reason that such “noble liberal/progressive voices,” to quote letter writer Desi Cortez, aren’t heard widely on radio. In a three column commentary he uses the terms, “racist, sexist, and elite” three times; can’t he do better than that? How did he happen to leave out Hitler in his description of conservative talk radio, as have many other “noble” liberal opinion “elites” in the last several weeks.
This type of hysterical, over the top ranting by the hard left is routinely accepted as legitimate discourse in the liberal media, such as MSNBC — “Morning Joe” made quite a splash referring to children being taken to gas chambers. Perhaps this is why the left has had little success in talk radio — anyone remember the short lived “Air America?” Also possibly the reason they keep losing elections.
He claims that the “political opposition,” presumably meaning himself, speaks for the “vast-overwhelming majority of African-Americans.” I’m not so sure of that, or certainly hope not.
