Tropical Depression In Atlantic Expected To Become Tropical Storm, Says National Hurricane Center

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – National Hurricane Center is monitoring a tropical depression forming in the Atlantic on Thursday that is predicted to become a Tropical Storm in the next 24 hours.

However, forecasters also expect the system to weaken by the end of the weekend when it reaches east of the Lesser Antilles, according to National Hurricane Center.

Max sustained winds have been registered at 35 mph and the system is moving to the west at 16 mph.

There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect.
