Almost half the Republicans in the Alabama Legislature have endorsed Gov. Kay Ivey in the June 5 primary, Ivey's campaign announced.
Forty-five GOP lawmakers endorsed Ivey -- 32 of the 71 Republicans in the House of Representatives and 13 of the 26 Republicans in the Senate.
Ivey, who became governor last April, said she has made communicating and working with the Legislature a priority.
"I'm proud of the relationship we've built and the progress we've made," Ivey said.
