Video shows 3 officers, detective exchanging gunfire with robbery suspect
Body camera video from three Louisville Metro Police Department officers shows three officers and a detective exchanging gunfire with a robbery suspect on Tuesday afternoon.
Louisville Metro Police Chief Steve Conrad said officers were called to the scene of a robbery at a Metro PCS reported at 2600 Market St. just after noon Tuesday.
First and Second Division officers responded to the scene and provided a description of the suspect, Demonjhea Jordan, 21.
First Division Officer Joshua Weyer spotted a man matching that description on foot in the 500 block of North 29th Street, Conrad said.
Jordan ran, brandishing a firearm, as Weyer tried to make contact with him, Conrad said.
Weyer chased Jordan about a block down 29th Street before Jordan fell to the ground.

In video, you see Jordan running, pointing a handgun back at the officer. Police said it is unclear who fired first.
Police said even after Jordan was on the ground, he continued to point the gun at officers.
At one point, an officer thought he'd been shot, but he was not. At least one LMPD cruiser was hit by bullets.
A second officer fired shots through his windshield as he was pulling up to the scene.
In addition to Weyer, Officers Benjamin Dean and Kody Despain and Detective Joseph Fox fired their weapons.
Conrad stressed that officers can use force if they feel there is an imminent threat to their lives.
The incident is under investigation by the Public Integrity Unit. The officers involved were placed on administrative reassignment during the investigation.
Jordan, of Jeffersonville, was pronounced dead of gunshot wounds at University Hospital at 12:47 p.m. Tuesday.
This was the fourth police-involved shooting of 2018.
