HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Congress has voted overwhelmingly on a bill to end the government shutdown. But it's not quite over yet.

The measure must still go to the president's desk for his signature.

In the meantime, parts of Haleakala National Park and Hawaii Volcanoes National Park will remain closed.

They're expected to reopen Tuesday.

All the Pearl Harbor historic sites, though, are open.

That includes the USS Arizona Memorial, Pearl Harbor Visitor Center, USS Bowfin Submarine Museum and Park, Battleship Missouri Memorial and Pacific Aviation Museum Pearl Harbor.

World War II Valor in the Pacific National Monument is open to the public. However, this website normally used for online ticket reservations will not be available until further notice. Reservations already in the system will be honored.

There are some departments whose operations weren't affected by the shutdown.

The Hawaii National Guard says about 1,000 personnel with the Active Guard Reserve continued to report for duty.

Active-duty troops and FBI personnel also kept working, along with TSA screeners, air traffic controllers, health inspectors and law enforcement officers.

The last time the federal government shutdown was in 2013.
