Wrens, Ga--Year after year Jefferson County is one of the best programs around and this season, no different. They have plenty of talent up and down the roster, and a lot of times, it comes from underclassmen. We head the land of the warriors for our John Harris Body Shops player of the week in Jaden Jenkins.

In their win on Friday, Jenkins proved he's a legit dual threat quarterback. In the passing game, 197 yards and three touchdowns. On the ground, 131 yards and two more scores. Despite being an underclassman, the experience factor is there seeing he was thrust into the playoffs a year ago.

"Well, as a sophomore last year, the game was fast. So I got used to the speed of the game so it helps me out now with reads and throwing the ball quick" said Jaden Jenkins

"We've always told him that at the position he's at that he needed to have a little swag. He's got that now. He walks with a different walk which he needs to. He's got the athletic tools to be great he just needed the mindset 'hey, I can be great, I'm gonna go out there and do everything I can to be great" added J.B. Arnold

Part of that swag, comes from his dad, Demetris Jenkins, who played for coach J.B. Arnold and now serve as an assistant coach. Jaden says his dad knowing Arnold's style of play gives him a leg up.

"He helps me out because he knows the system and he's been coaching for a lot of years and he's the one who got me where I need to be" added Jenkins

"I keep encouraging him, keep talking to him, tell him what he did wrong, tell him what he did good, and that helps him out a lot" said Demetris Jenkins
