WATCH: N.J. governor's debate between Phil Murphy and Kim Guadagno

TRENTON -- The two major-party rivals looking to be New Jersey's next governor meet Tuesday night for their first televised debate, and you can watch it right here on NJ.com.

Democrat Phil Murphy and Republican Kim Guadagno will take the stage at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark at 7 p.m.

The debate comes exactly four weeks before Election Day on Nov. 7.

Murphy, a former U.S. ambassador to Germany and former executive at Wall Street investment banking firm Goldman Sachs, is ahead in the polls but Guadagno, Gov. Chris Christie's lieutenant governor, has been trying to close the gap.

NJ Advance Media is a co-sponsor of the debate, which will air on WABC in New York City (Channel 7) and WPVI in Philadelphia (Channel 6).
