Several Colts kneel during National Anthem following comments from Pres. Trump

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indianapolis Colts joined in locking arms and kneeling following comments from President Trump condemning those who didn’t stand for the anthem.

Players from around the league also took place in the protest, with the Pittsburgh Steelers not even coming out to the sideline ahead of the anthem.

Colts owner Jim Irsay released this statement earlier in the day:

“I am troubled by the President’s recent comments about our league and our players,” read the statement. “Sports in America have the unique ability to bring people from all walks of life and from different points of view together to work toward or root for a common goal, and the Indianapolis Colts are proud to be a part of that tradition in our home city and state.”
