Thursday on The Chad Hasty Show, U.S. House District 19 Representative Jodey Arrington joined the broadcast to talk about issues ahead for the nation, as well as his committee appointments in the House of Representatives.

Arrington and Hasty discussed topics that are priorities for the House Agriculture Committee as well as the House Budget Committee, both of which Arrington has been appointed to. Topics in the discussion included the new farm bill, trade deals, subsidies, and the looming repeal of "Obamacare".

On the subject of a new farm bill and easing the regulatory environment and trade conditions under which our agriculture producers operate, Arrington said,

[There will be] lots of opportunities to support and provide an environment where our producers can do what they do best. And as long as we make it an even playing field, our guys are going to win, West Texas will win, and America will win.

After the call with Hasty, Arrington received notice that he has been appointed to the House Committee on Veterans' Affairs, so Arrington called back, breaking that news live on The Chad Hasty Show. About the appointment Arrington said,

I'm just excited to be a voice for those who've served in our armed forces.
