Goucher College has received a $55 million donation, the largest gift in the private school's over 130-year history, officials announced Wednesday. The largest slice of the donation from late-alumna Anica Donnan Rawnsley, $50 million, will go to the Towson college's endowment. The remainder will go toward other programs at the school. The cash will immediately boost the school's $235 million endowment by over 21%."Equity, inclusivity, and academic excellence have been at the heart of Goucher’s mission since our founding in 1885. This transformational gift will ensure that Goucher can fulfill that mission for decades to come," said Goucher College President Kent Devereaux in a statement.
