Nasa's Next Great Mission - Find Some Aliens!

If you were a NASA scientist, you would have to wonder if you could just be left alone to go back to the moon or head off to Mars. But NO.

The rotating Presidents of the United States always seem to have a mission of their own for the space men and women.

You may recall that one of the first things President Obama did upon election was to ask NASA to help Muslims to feel good about themselves....really! Charles Bolden, a retired United States Marines Corps major-general said when he became NASA administrator, President Obama charged him with three things.

"One, he wanted me to help reinspire children to want to get into science and math; he wanted me to expand our international relationships; and third, and perhaps foremost, he wanted me to find a way to reach out to the Muslim world and engage much more with dominantly Muslim nations to help them feel good about their historic contribution to science, math, and engineering."

Alrighty then. So under president Trump, what's next?

NASA is searching for aliens.

A brand new NASA research team launched this week and it will be devoted to finding life beyond Earth, as well as finding out exactly how life began on Earth and where else it could exist.

Fox News is reporting that the “Center for Life Detection Science” will be part of NASA’s Ames Research Center in California and will bring together experts in physical science, biology, astrophysics and beyond. Researcher Tori Hoehler says, “We now have the scientific and engineering expertise to address the profound question of "Are we alone?" with the clarity of scientific evidence—and we have a great community of scientists ready for that grand challenge.” Stay tuned...to an intergalactic frequency!
