Roy Moore is urging his supporters to cast their votes for Alabama Attorney General hopeful Troy King.

In a Facebook post, Moore said he mailed 50,000 fliers to supporters urging them to vote for King in Tuesday's Republican primary runoff. King, who served as Alabama AG from 2004 to 2011, faces current AG Steve Marshall.

"I fully support Troy King for the office of Attorney General. He has the leadership, experience and dedication to do an outstanding job," the flier reads. "He is a lifelong Republican who will stand for conservative values.

"Troy King has a proven record fighting against corruption. I have seen first hand the misuse of power by the political establishment and I know how badly we need an Attorney General committed to cleaning up Montgomery. I believe Troy King is the man for the job."

Moore, the former Alabama Chief Justice, was defeated by Democrat Doug Jones in last year's race for the U.S. Senate to replace Jeff Sessions. The upset came after reports Moore had sexual contact with underage girls in the 1970s when he was in his 30s, charges he denies.

King's office did not respond to questions regarding Moore's endorsement.
