Thousands filled the basement hall of the Statehouse Convention Center for a lively conversation around "The Comeback Kid."

An hour and a half sit down with a legendary political couple, celebrating a successful campaign near the end of the 20th century, and celebrating the thousands of people in the crowd who helped back in 1992.

"If it weren't for the people of Arkansas, there weren't enough of us to go around, we wouldn't have made it."

Topics were wide ranging.

From the economy, "We proved that growing the economy from the middle out and the bottom up works and trying to grow it from the top down doesn't," President Bill Clinton said.

To foreign policy, "If you look again at the eight years, the United States played a major role in some significant foreign policy successes," Secretary Hillary Clinton said.

To, as one would expect, some jabs at the current administration.

"He didn't tweet about,” Secretary Clinton said, “he got to work about it and he actually got it done."

But through each memory, accomplishment or failure, the former first family had one thing to say, 25 years later.

"Thank you,” President Clinton said. “Thank all of you for making this possible."

James Carville, the evening’s moderator, mentioned near the end of the conversation that the Clinton’s have ran 18 campaigns in the span of their political careers.
